![]() ![]() Coincidentally this driver exploit seems to have effected SecuROM as well. The SafeDisc protocol is abandoned developmentally, and the driver (At least the one that Microsoft didn't fix themselves) had an elevation exploit in it that was not fixed by it's devs. That's the official excuse It's really not an excuse at all. In fact, many games by Microsoft Game Studios used SafeDisc in the late 90s and early 2000s, and some of them like Age of Empires/Mythology (save for AoE1) got re-released on Steam (see where I'm going?). That excuse was made partly (only partly) because SafeDisc is old and wasn't updated in quite a while. Thank you for your time and I hope you can help me fix it! That's the official excuse from MS, even though it's incredibly unlikely hackers will use any potential insecurities of SafeDisc - they'll go through other exploits in the operating systems. Thoughts: Do I need Zero Hour? Do I have to buy the collectors edition? Perhaps I am suppose to leave the disc in my computer? It use to give me an error that I need to get admin privilege but I fix that problem. But I don't have that file at the location. I tried looking up to see what was wrong but I either get told to buy the collectors pack or go to my documents to add or edit options.ini. Now that I got a copy and installed both disc on my computer but its not working. I've been wanting to try and play C&C generals for a while. This is the 1.04 patch for Command & Conquer: Generals.
